We don’t feed the cat when the tenant is on holiday, but we do arrange for someone to check in immediately in case of a small repair, if the Wi-Fi doesn’t work properly or if a bulb needs to be replaced.
‘Since COVID-19 we regularly send an email to our tenants asking if there is anything we can do for them. They might be stuck in another country due to a lockdown. In that case, we go to the apartment and check the fridge, to make sure that the tenant won’t be taken by surprise with unpleasant smells when he or she comes home,’ says Sales Manager Bas van Rijthoven.
COVID-19 also affects the way people experience their living environment. They are less likely to go out and they often work at home. As a result, the quality and size of a living space are more important.
‘This trend and requirement is also reflected in letting apartments to expats. Fortunately, we can guarantee accommodation from 80 to 130 m². Additionally, the furnishings are of a high quality, which means that despite the temporary nature of their stay, they will still be able to feel at home. Simple things like this can make all the difference. So nowadays we have at least one desk in every apartment for tenants who work from home.’
